Rundenmeister

I saw a thread at watchuseek where a guy got this. I searched and searched for one, but only his threads came up. Finally, I p.m'ed him and he gave me the sellers email. Thilo sent me a catalog to download and was very quick with emails to answer my questions. I could have an Asian movement for cheaper or a Unitas for more. I have been looking for a Unitas in a decent size for a while and I had been looking for a watch like this that wasn't huge. So, I combined the two and sprung for the Unitas.
Thilo took what I wanted, and it is my understanding that he assembled it and calibrated it. I'm over the moon on this one, a 40mm pilots watch, Unitas movement and check out the Stirling Moss bracelet. I ordered another bracelet too, this may be the coolest bracelet I own.

Some brochure information on the company. It looks like he makes instruments for cars.

Unsigned clasp, but it is a Z clasp, easy to release for a minor let in or out. A pretty bad shot of it, I will try to do better later. It works so smooth, my new favorite bracelet.

A wrist shot. Mineral crystal front and back, but I don't mind that.

Overall, I am a very happy customer of Rundenmeister. I haven't found any fault with it, it is machined well and is what I was looking for. I am a little surprised at the quality, I would compare it to Hamilton quality.
I am usually tight on spending money on watches. I love a good deal and will scour for it, buying used to avoid the high initial cost is usually the way I go. This is rare for me to go straight to the source and and pay full price. I am happy I did though.

I wanted an onion crown, but didn't think it would look good with the crown guard.
