Watch You're Wearing FRIDAY, 09 February 2018

One of my all-time favorite classic Android Watches, the Horizon, made well before the my-manhood-is-micro-sized-so-I-need-an-ever-bigger-watch craze caught up with and overtook Wing in his watch design-making; the original Horizon came on the scene with a svelte 42mm case size, and, in the case of this particular model, beautiful brown mother-of-pearl dial inserts, a gold-plated movement, a single row of chocolate diamonds around the bezel, and a genuine, highly-polished crocodile strap (pronounced "strayup," if you happen to have done time in an Ohio penitentiary for the attempted robbery of a bowling alley).

About two years after the release of this iconic Android model, Wing succumbed to the ever-growing pressure to build ever-bigger, tea saucer-sized mutations of his marvelous groundbreaking designs, and his creativity for new pieces -- in this Cub Reporter's not-so-humble opinion -- took a rather significant slip.

Now produced under the Aragon moniker, the Horizon is still a part of Wing's many offerings, but the sizes have grown to near-tumescent levels, wherein the 45mm size is considered "small" and the 50mm behemoth is the "large." (***SIGH***)

I'm lucky enough to have obtained both versions of this awesome dress watch, the aforementioned brown iteration, and the black model, with black alligator strap and a row of purest white diamonds about its beautiful bezel. In truth, I treasure all of my Wingmeister Classics, and it's my genuine hope that someday we'll see Wing return to those early days before bigger is better became an official Android/Aragon motto...

Have a terrific Friday, all... :face:

It's easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled.
